Genuine antique atlas - Dr. Butler's Atlas of Modern Geography, 1853. 28 maps, mostly 225x160mm except for the 2 World maps which are 420mm wide - my scanner shows the centre part of one. The maps, all single-sided, are all drawn by Sidney Hall and the printing is by Eyre & Spottiswoode. The spine and covers are all complete but faded.
The backs of some maps are annotated in pencil with aides memoire presumably by a schoolboy to assist in study - that does not affect the face appearance. Two pages of the frontispiece have the top right corners cut out to remove prior owner's names.
None of that affects the appearance and value of the maps. This item is in the category "Antiques\Maps, Atlases & Globes\World Maps".The seller is "hackstaple" and is located in this country: GB.
