Unfortunately, the'Best Authorities' thought that Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) was attached to New Holland (Australia), and it is shown without the Bass Strait. An attractive handcoloured map that would frame up nicely. Size: the mount measures 50.5cms x 34cms.The map image within the mount measures 36cms x 19.5cms. Condition: With folds as issued. A little wear along one of the folds, but generally in a good condition, with attractive handcolouring (probably later).
